this is such a pretty angelfish! how are they with corals and tankmates?

I've heard that they are one of the safest, if not the safest pygmy in terms of corals.
Mine has never even looked at a coral. They can be a bit bossy but they are awesome fish. They are very active and interesting to watch.

Mine has been just fine ever since I got him about 6 months ago. He just nips at rocks, hasn't touched a coral yet that I know of.

mine was good for a while and then decided he wanted to start "tasting" my acros. Needless to say he had to go. These are on a case by case basis, mine was a model citizen for quite some time and then went bad.

I had one for 3 years and he was a model citizen the whole time. Great fish. Mine cruised all day long, awesome to watch...

Mine left corals alone but was very aggressive toward tank mates. He'd repeatedly attack my large percula clown despite getting beat up every time. I eventually sold him back to the lfs.

like all pigmy angels hit or miss.
Still the cherub is a safer bet. Mine behaved well for a month or 2 and then started picking on some sps, very casual nipping and not focused on a single coral so no real damage, I'm till keeping him so far if this increases then maybe he will not make the move to the new tank.

I had mine for over a year and he was a model citizen. He never bothered any coral (I had all types) and he left my clam alone too. He got along with my clowns and YWG w/o conflict too. As with any angel, you'll want to watch them. Don't confuse them picking at pods and the like with picking at coral. Mine was constantly grazing and he did so around my coral and clam. He never seemed to irritate anything though

my flame angel never touched my corals.. when i got the flame i only had about 2 corals but as i added.. the flame still never bothered any.. so like ppl say.. it really is hit or miss

I have had one for about 5 years now - not my first either - IMO, great little fish with tons of personality, but without a doubt the boss of the tank. It will take a nip or two at me on cleaning day! Never had an issue with it harming corals.
