experience with scratches

Does anyone have experience removing scratches from glass?

I have some hair line scratches that I can barely feel with my fingernail on my display but they are visible none the less.

I have seen ads for various windshield repair kits, powders, acrylic filler spray used on eyeglasses etc. But nothing that seems to be universally accepted.
