expert opinions on 6060 and 6080

I was wanting your expert opinions on the Tunze stream 6060 and 6080, I have been contemplating on using that system or a closed loop using 2 mak-4 pumps or something of similar size. The thing that is the drawback there is the large power consumption (about 200 watts) vice the 11 watts for the 6060 and 17 watts for the 6080. The question that I had is how do you all rate the performance of the Tunze stream I have seen allot of them for sale on the trading post on this site which makes me think that they are not very popular for wavemaking. I have also looked into the new wavebox and frankly the video scared the crap out me I am sure it works well but looks like it would be too much oscillation.

The trade show demo of the wavebox was designed to maximize the effest. Expect 1/2"- 1" on most home aquariums and youcan turn it down f you wish. The 6060 and 6080 are frequently sold off as people upgrade to the 6000, 6100 and 6200 because the 6060 and 6080 cannot be controlled or used on wavemakers. They are what a lot of skeptics start with and once they see how they work they but the controllable models. Probably some folks alos switch to closed loop or bought the wrong size but I don't see two many people who are unhappy with the Streams over closed loop, only a few who think it is to obtrusive.
