Post your exquisite wrasse pix! Just picked up an african which I feel is a bit different than some of the others I've seen. Unfortunately the dude won't slow down for a pix

Good looking fish Chuck! Are you starting the fairy wrasse collection now? I hear the exquisite's need the female around to keep it's brilliant color. Took this from Bronco's fairy wrasse thread:

Exquisite Fairy Wrasse
cirrhilabrus exquisitus
Comes From: Africa / Indian Ocean / Sumatra
Fairy Size Category: Large (4.7" as adult)
Colors: There are two types of exquisite, as their coloration varies by area. There is the Regular exquiste and the pacific
Regular exquiste: As pictured below has a bright red face and green body with some white highlights. Females-drab green
Pacific exquiste: Males lack the red face but rather have a yellow throat and red trim all around the fins. Body is still green
Availability: Common

I use to have one collected from vanatua, absolutely beautiful and different from any I have seen so far, too bad he carpet surfed on me.

Yeah, Garrick, I'm getting into fairies (dangerous thing to say this close to WeHo). This is the list so far:
Exquisite
Labouti (female)
Lineatus
Yellow fin (got popeye but other than looking weird is healthy)
8 line red sea flasher
Mccoskey
some other couple of flasher wrasses that I am unsure of I.D. on

Of course I am looking for a rhomboid pair. I might pick a pair up from twilightaquatics.net May have to pickup a female exquisite and male labouti.

VERY COOL! I've been getting into fairy wrasses as of late too. Luckily, I live much further from weho than you. I've been unlucky with my rhomboids but still want to get one some day. I'm debating on getting that lineatus from liveaquaria but my gut tells me to wait till I get a chance to head down to 104th. My list includes the following:
Rosy fin pair
Hawaiian Flame pair
Pyle's
Pink Margin

I did see a C. adornatus at Tat's that's unidentified to them. If I didn't have some many red/pink colored fairies, I would totally get that fish!

FWIW, the rumour is that Lineatus are ALL OVER 104th right now.....

Oh yeah I think I've got a female pink margin.

Rosy fin would be nice.

If I place the order with twilight I might pick up flames as well.

That's what I hear as well. I might have to go down there and check it out. The rosy fins are great! I really like them and the flames are the ones that got me started with fairy wrasses.

Lineatus must be very readily available. They are on all the lists and the e-mail special from LiveAquaria is Lineatus for $129.99.

I have also noticed that some lists have unidentified wrasses that are probably some of the new undescribed or rarer species.

the Exquisites all look diff depending on region. My favorite is the marincenter pic -- if you check fishsupply.com or petsolutions they show you one that is all green w/ no pink

does the wrasse always swim w/ its fins clamped? I was curious cuz i was thinking of getting one. I have a solar wrasse right now which basically the same bodystyle, but doesnt look as flashy since its always swimming w/ its fins clamped and only flares when the neon goby is cleaning him
