Is there a way to extend the leak detection cord?

what is a realistic max length for an extension? My apex is by the main tank and sump in the basement. I would like sensors in both places but it would likely be about a 30' run.

All you can do is try it. Stretch out your extension cable and just touch a slightly damp paper towel to the bottom of a sensor. See if it alarms. Do that a few times.
