Extension cable for the probes

I would like to install the Aqua Controller II unit furthur away from the tank, but the lengh of the cable that come with the temperture controller is not long enough for me, is there a way that I can extend this cable? the plug look like a 2.5mm audio cable jack, would one work as an extension cable?
Also, is it possible to extend the cables that come with the ORP and PH probes?

Yes, you can extend the length of the cables. The temp. probe does have a 2.5mm mono jack. We don't recommend that you make the total lengths longer than 20 feet.

Thanks for the reply, I did find the extension for the 2.5mm plug for the temperture probe. But I have never seem the type of connection on the PH and ORP probe, can you tell me what they are and where I can get extension cables?

They are 'BNC' connectors- computer parts stores may have them- not sure about the complete cable but I have bought the connectors to make my own cables with- pretty easy to make with the right tools or maybe try belkin.com belkin ? I imagine Curt probably sells them as well.

Almost forgot- the extension cables are almost always M to M so be sure to get a BNC coupler as well. HTH

The BNC cable I found were mostly for video signals and are much thicker, does that make any difference?

Did you try the link I posted above- it's for a 25' but they have the same in 10'. Just type "BNC" in the search bar. They have the couplers as well although they are for wallplates it will still work. It's an old type of ethernet cable called 'thinnet'- the connector is what's called a 'BNC'..
