externa skimmer recommendations

system volume is 150 gals. not heavily stocked, but wanna upgrade to 2X that.
i have a pm bullet 3 and it is ridiculously sensitive. way too much effort and not a lotta skimmate in comparison to my older asm 3 [internal]. i'd like to not go crazy in price, under 750$. needs to be:
setup and not worry, quiet, easy to clean, work like a fiend.

I would look at the sro xp3000ext. I'm running the xp5000ext and its very easy to adjust. I cant tell you if its a quieter skimmer than others because I have nothing to compare it too... but it sure pulls the gunk out. Call Mike at Reef Specialty and he can help with any questions.
