External eheims

The general consensus on RC says the eheim makes the best sump pumps, period. However, are they still the best when used externally with a bulkhead?

using one right now and it works fine, no noise, no leaks. *knock on wood*

I used one for over 3yrs externally and never cleaned it once(wouldn't recoment that) and it works like i just got it!

I've been using a 1262 for almost a yr now. can't hear a thing and it runs so cool I sometimes wondering if it is plugged in.
