External pump maintenance

Over the past 3-4 days I have noticed my Panworld 250PS pump getting louder and louder. It emits an audible woow-woow-woow able to be heard from the rooms directly adjacent to the pump room. So it got me thinking. I have had it up and running for close to 6 months now (memorial day this year) and purchased it used from a member here. Should I , and how can I perform maintenance on this thing? I assume just unscrew and clean it all out?

And what kind of schedule do you guys think? How often do you do yours?

1 other thing. I know I am playing with fire here, but I have no backup at the moment. I have been seriously looking at a jebao dc12000 as it actually has an increased flow rate with a lower head (max height for me is around 5'), but I am worried about the quality of it compared to a solid Panworld. Of course, at $100 for the DC12000, it almost becomes a throw away item that you can replace once a year easily.

You have seals and bearings that could need to be replaced with an external pump. I have a set of seals for my pump just in case. I also have a back up.

Where you get those from? Panworld themselves? Maybe I'll call Steve at TCR later and see If he can locate any close. May try to swap out this weekend

Googled, but couldnt find any place. Emailed Panworld, but since its the weekend, not expecting to hear anything till Monday at earliest.

Think I got it corrected tho. I had a old emptu plastic spool from 12ga wire that had fallen behind the pump and was on the base. Found it when I shut the pump down. So I tightened up the bolts holding the pump onto the base which had come a bit loose, turned it on and VOILA! my pump is quiet again. So it was either the spool or it was the bolts.

Yeah, I'm a ******* like that. I look for the most complex fix when a simple reboot will suffice.

Yeah. Going to keep my eyes out for a reeflo hammerhead, but in the mean time I think I will get a jebao dc12000 and attempt to make it usable as external. My panworld is rated at around 1940gph at a 5' head height. Hammerhead is more than double that if I remember right. Then pick up a couple of wp40s for each tank, and I should be setting with adequate flow
