I am looking for a skimmer that would fit under my 210 gallons stand, it is 26.5 inches tall. I am just running a wet dry for filtration for now I have plans to add a small refugium and run them together. I have read about external skimmers and they dont really say much of how you actually plumb them into your system. Any help, would be appreciated

Something that may be just as important is the height of the water in your sump. For example we run several MRC skimmers externally, which we have had to elevate above the water level so the skimmer can run as designed without pressure building up.

Is there a specific reason that you cannot run an averaged sized skimmer inside your sump?

Water in the sump is about 7" deep right now I only have my return pump in there but still there is just not enough room to fit any kind of in sump skimmer within.
