extra intake screen

Every now and then, my Anemone will get its tentacles stuck in my tunze. What can i use to cover the intake, but not 'strangle' the flow too much.

The Stream rock would be the most elegant solution but not fool proof. Building an ugly box of eggcrate around the pump is the only foolproof way I know of.
