agree corals look good but your rock looks hideous :uzi:

LOL surprised corals arent upset with all that on the rocks

yep rock looks horrible, corals seem to be ok, some got ****ed off. I now and then get in there around the bases with a knife and smash them out.

long term im actually thinking of migrating the rock into the sump and going a PVC branch style setup, floating reef etc. But i think they will migrate everywhere, as they travel in the water.

That rock is 10 years old now, the little buggers beat me in the end :)

it doesn't bother me to look at , even bubble i dont care about.

Could be my excuse for a major recape :) never a dull moment in reefing.

I agree that it looks fine. I like the little weird things that grow. It is a good reminder that this hobby is truly recreating an entire ecosystem in a glass (or acrylic) box. A coral -only garden would be beautiful, but I like to think that a full food pyramid is a much more authentic (and interesting) tank than a pristine and sterile tank. Just my thoughts!

I hear you man! Corals look good that's what matters.... i have broken down many a tanks because of nuisance crap! I recently re did my 25G nano because it was getting over run with bubble algae and bryopsis! What a nightmare.

I finally gave in got rid of all salvageable corals and started over fresh.... luckily for me its a small tank so it's easy to do.... So far all is well after 6 months but I do have some dumb tube snails as well starting to pop up more and more..... Wonder how you can control them?? Maybe stop feeding as much??

Have fun if you rescape it kinda makes the process fun again.... I think half of the fun of a tank is setting it up and the other half is watching it grow

Yep after a decade reefing, my expectations and patience have found a sweet spot. Imperfections become perfections etc I hear ya I've built 5 tanks in 10 years lol I love new builds. I build big, then I want a nano :) it's a disease :)
