Went into the lfs and he had ordered 12 medium size rbta's. 11 were normal the last was this little guy. I've never saw one so small I paid $25 for him and figure i'll watch him grow. Is there any thing special I should be doing to help him that i'm not my other large bta's? I am feeding it mysis shrimp bc it looks a little bleached but other wise looks healthy to me. If its not bleached it orange in color naturally.

I think its a bta. Its about 1.5". It's orangeish red in color with bubbled tips. Is there a way to tell for sure

It looks identical to my other roses. It has the streaks I'm almost positive its a bta of some color to be determined when it completely recovers and starts growing. I've just never saw one this small

Yep that is a bta, i only thought manjo because you dont see btas that small and manjos often get conffused as a bta

So how do you get one that small? I wouldnt think one would split if it was small enough to produce two small ones that size, plus it was the only one that small recieved. Budding could be a possibility. How small do they start out as if they are produced sexually? I'm assuming smaller than that. But it did come from a wholesale facility.

I have one about that size too. I just appeared out of no where. I hadn't seen it in months. I thought it had died a long time ago and rotted away.
