ok so I have had ick in the past in my tank. long story.. the fish are pretty fat and usually no issues. it tends to come and go.. more in the spring.. I use seachem focus with metriodnodizal garlic mixed in with good frozen food like LRS. fish love it and eat it.. today I noticed my scribbles eyes look kinda weird. parts are like reflective blue.. in the front on both here are some shots.. thoughts please... I noticed some small white dots in the clear edges of the fins. hard to see in the video and pics though

thanks

"Sounds" like flukes. Any stringy white poop? Or you can do a FW dip to confirm.

I've also seen Lympho grow on a fish's eye, so it could be the beginning of that.

the hippo tangs have signs of ick. I will try and get some better pics.. breathing is fine.. all fish act normal. and are fat really fat. and eating.. I cannot remove fish.. will post some better pics tonight

thanks

last fish in was the scribbled. he was in QT for at least 5 weeks and all good. He lived in the DT for the past 6 Weeks. No ick in QT at all. I must admit that this DT has had Ick in the past. on and off over the years. Last year had a situation and removed all fish and went fallow for 8 weeks reintroduced all fish after.. did lose some.. I do notice with my tanks over the past ten plus years that water changes and stirring the gravel tend to create episodes of ick.. I have my thoughts on this and many will disagree with me. regardless. question is I am pretty sure it is ick. but do flukes cause something that looks like this..

thanks

If you can't remove and treat the fish it doesn't really matter what it may have or not have. You should just focus on feeding heavily and with vitamins and selcon, also a variety and often. Unfortunately if you see signs of disease and then you don't it doesn't mean the disease is gone. Also if you see signs of ich on your hippo then all your fish have it even if you don't see outward signs. Yes flukes also will resemble cloudy eyes, heavy breathing, stringy poo, loss of appetite, not gaining weight to name a few.
