I thought it is a fad if there is some in circulation? I don't think these qualify just because you see one for sale. Maybe time will tell.=)

I was just in the shop today and saw the coral in person, and it pretty much looks just like the ones in SniperSPS's pic when closed.
I've noticed that both the balanophyllias and rhizotrochus corals have been popping up more and more over the past 2 months lately. They'll probably drop in price in a few months.
 
I fail to see the appeal, am i missing something.... I mean there not exactlly attractive. I think regular old sun coral looks better. If they were blue or purple them you might be able to justify the price.
 
so how do you propogate or frag a coral like that? It would look really ugly unless you could superglue a dozen of them together in a cluster/colony.

I saw that one too at Atlantis today. I picked up a frag of cespitularia and see that you got one as well. I hope this lil frag does well!
