eyes gone missing

In the past two weeks, I have had 4 fish in my 155 fowlr have eyes disappear. A blue ring angel, argula butterfly, red stripe anthia, and an emperor angel.

Is there a disease that can make eyes go missing suddenly?

The only fish in the tank I think are capable of ripping eyes out are a black durgeon trigger, niger trigger, or a porcupine puffer.

Very frustrating and disheartening.

Do you have other butterflies in the tank? The triggers/puffers might definitely have gotten the eyes. I used to work in an aquarium, and in our main reef tank (which was huge) the raccoon butterflies would eat the eyes out of some of our fish. Sorry about your fish

I have a flame hawkish who's gotten eyes from 2 of my clowns. Would've never expected that since he was so small until I saw him attack the clowns one day.

I've seen a trigger rip an eye out and eat it. Sad!
