It all worked out in the end. Sarko only wanted/needed one of the lights and I only needed one and he sold me the other. Hoping to get it set up over the tank tonight or tomorrow and see how they look.

Show us a pic when you two setup your lights. Its interesting to see how the leds fair after a couple years.

They do awesome. Light up the tiny aqua pod far better then that par 38 did lol

Oh, they were still nice after 2 years. I still had to keep then under 40 to 50 per cent, so I would say the par is still pretty good as well

I thought about this thread when I went to the LFS the other day... Selling a Chinese LED fixture for $250... yea you read correctly $250, for one... Supposedly that's a discounted price from a deal falling through. I said " yea that's pretty good..." lmao

what store is that? there are some nice ebay lights for far less. at that price you are looking at like kessils or a barley used ai sol. ill get pics in a few gotta clean the tank some lol

Pretty embarrassed to say where... If you know where I live then you can figure it out. only store in this area. that's why I drive an hour to buy almost everything in the Miami area. I try to support as much as possible but I draw a line with equipment and corals and go elsewhere lol.. Imagine torch coral for $100 and two acan heads going for $250+

Yes ebay does have some good prices. I was actually looking at the LEDs DIY style and It was coming out to a total of about just under $50 with fan/heatsink/leds/drivers etc. which isn't bad.
