F/S: Maxi-Jet MJ400 and Maxi-Stream kit

Like title says. I would like to get $30 for it.

As you can see it is assembled, just need to super glue down hard airline hose to the magnet or leave it as is. The prop (octura 1435) has been cut down so that the MJ400 can spin is freely underwater. The stop acrylic rod has not been installed yet. The extra parts I have left over will be included incase you want to redo anything. Keep in mind, this kit can still be used with the MJ400-1200.

The output is very wide and open, it was too much flow for me. My frogspawn, hammer, and xenias were being blown way too hard for my taste. The Maxi-stream compared to the MJ400 in stock form blows it away.

Is this the kit/mod that does approx. 1600gph? Is it ready for plug and play or does it require some more installation?

Supposedly it does. It has all the parts, I would get a new prop or even use this one before you try a new prop. I its the MJ1200 can produce 1600gph. I think it would be more for SPS, slow is too wide and harsh for softies.

Hey Mike, do you think you boss will let me trade the clam I got today back for maybe the torch? I kind of regret getting the clam. I'll call Reef Life up tomorrow.

ek9vboi, do you know what's the GPH of the MJ900 w/ 2 propeller? I have 2 of them and was just wondering what's the real GPH of them are.

I really don't have a clue. No real tests have been done on these Maxi-Streams yet I think, but from what people have said they are comparable to seio PHs and so on.
