Greg, what camera are you going to upgrade to?
Not sure yet, but whatever I do it is best that I do while I have $. The D200 is out of my price range.

I agree, the D200 is a bit too much. You might want to look into a Nikon D50. A really good DSLR at a reasonable price.
I'm probably going to get a Canon Digital Rebel XT sometime soon, myself.

The D200 a bit too much?

The D100 retailed for $2300 when it launched.

The D200 is a steal at $1600 - $1900 retail.

A good set of lenses will cost more than that.

Although, there are some instant cameras out there now that I'm kind of attracted to.

For those that are requesting more info here is the link to the Nikon webpage
The camera is 8 megapixel w/ 8x optical zoom.

Yep, unfortunately have to budget my $. I have a large household expense called an SPS Tank! What instant cameras are you attracted to?

I can understand. My tank is now over $7k and I've just finished with fish. Do'nt really even have many corals yet or the associated extra equipment. I will pick up a D200 when I can to go with my D100, but it will be a bit since I have like $14.00 to my name now.

I like Cannons point and shoot digital cameras. They have better tonal reproduction IMO than most other brands of point and shoot cameras. I don't stray from Nikon, Cannon, Minolta. However I haven't been impressed with Minolta since the early 90s. So all of my old frames are Minolta and my newer frames are Nikon. However as the family grows it is becoming less and less practical to take my SLRs out for trips to disneyand or the park. So I hope to acquire a point and shoot soon. I will be looking at Cannon when I do. I had one of the first digital elphs many years ago and it was a great camera.

I think this is a good deal especially with the lenses included.
8 megapixels and 8 optical zoom! 8x optical is awesome.
Maybe you should post a few sample pics.

This is very nice camara but now is old model. You can buy for 370 dollars for new one and lenses can find on Ebay for 50 dollars. Was expansive many monts ago but not now. But always a nice camara.
