Fadding Zoa's?

When I purchase some zoa collonies they do well and look nice after a while, but then a couple weeks later some of them "fade" as in the orange interior rim will fad and the whole center looks like one big color. Any ideas of why this may happen?:(

this happens, zoaid has a great faq on it, it has to do with lighting. to keep color you need to find balance between actinics, white light and intensity, different combinations will have different results. what people are doing is splitting the zoas and placing them in shaded, non-shaded, low, high areas and in addition alternate tanks with different lighting setups, then after a few weeks or months you can then decide which morph you like best and place appropritately. warning.... some morphs can not be reversed. i.e. speckled morphs.

I got one 36 watt 50-50 light, and one blue atinic 36 wat, 72 watts on a 24 gal nano cube. I went blue atinic so I can get purple coraline better.
