Hello all

I got a small frag of a garf purple bonsai a while ago. it came in kind of faded but grew very quickly for a bonsai. somehow i contracted red bugs and it faded pretty bad. I treated for the bugs and the difference in all my corals is amazing. the polyp extension on the Bonsai increased and the polyps are a vivid green but the flesh hasnt really colored up much. another factor is its near a hitchhiker coral on an Acropora coral that seems to war with the bonsai occasionaly.. The base is very purple on the edges but the branches are still a lt brown . what are some was to attempt to color up the coral?

What kelvin are U using ? Im my experience, all tricolors likes moderate inderect light. When I transferd all my corals in the 300 from my old 125 which is powerd by 3 175w and 2 PC , all my tricolors had awesome colorations . The 300 has 4, 400 w, turned brown w/ purple tips, holy crap!!, so I move them lower , some under the wide brace, 3 weeks later all of the colors came back and growth went wild.

i actually got a small frag of the purple bonsai from a friend and it wasnt doin to well in his tank so i took it... it turned brown in my tank after 2 weeks.. i had it midway on the rocks i decided to move it all the way up on my frag rack and it looked as if it was starting to bleach... waited a day more then took the frag moved it down to the middle section again and the purple is now coming back... with green polyps all over.... this is something i did and worked out for me...

I have 250 10 k over it.. its abput 10" below the water line and the lights are 8" above the water. so its about midway. Ill try and post pics with my lame camera skills.
