Hello everyone, I am Fadi a Jordanian Reefer lives in Riyadh - Saudi Arabia.
Its been almost 6 years last time I have kept a reef aquarium, the previous one was 50 gallon with lps and softies.
I am back with a bigger tank, the tank arrived at June the 3rd 2016 and now it is 4 months Old. 180 gallon tank with net total water volume of 200 in both tank and sump minus rocks and sand
Tank: 180 Gallons
Custom Made by Blue Life KSA, 72" X 24" X 24"
3 sides Starphire Tempered glass 1/2" Eurobrace bottom and top
Center 24" external Overflow with BeanAnimal Overflow system all Plumbings are 1.5" inches
Sump: 60 Gallons
Custom Made by Blue Life KSA, 40"L X 20"W X 18"H
Return Pump:
Jebao DC - 12000, all 1.5" plumping with manifold to feed media reactors. the return is reduced then to 3/4" with LOC-LINE fittings.
Skimmer: Super Reef Octopus SRO 3000 In-Sump Protein Skimmer
Light: 2 Radion xr30w G3 pro, and 1 G4's in the middle.
Flow: 2X APEX WAV
Jebao Programmable Auto Dosing Pump DP-4, currently I Dose 3 ml/hour of Randy 2 part recipe #1. using Seachem Advantage Calcium and baked Arm & Hammer baking soda
JBJ ATO connected to Aqualifter pump
2 X TLF Phosban Reactor, filled Seachem matrix carbon. and one for aquamaxx GFO.
APEX Controller
All Equipment are connected to Classic Apex Controller with Temperature, PH and ORP Probes
APEX AFS
APEX WMX to control Radions via Apex
Live rock I had around 50 pounds from the old tank that were dried, bleached, acid bathed and stored for years. The rest of rock around 75 pounds where collected from the red sea. will be adding more in sump soon
Sand: 88 pounds of Blue Treasure coral sand sand
Brightwell Microbacter7 for 10 days to start and boost biological filtration.
