Failed 6101

Hi Roger,
Last week, I noticed that one of my 6101s in my display tank wasn't working...I'm guessing that it hadn't been failed for long (a week at max).

I removed the pump and placed it in 50/50 warm water and vinegar thinking that is was just dirty. However, after disassembling and cleaning the pump it will either pulse "on" once or twice for about a second or will run for a few minutes but will eventually stop. It should be on at a minimum of 30% all the time per the settings in the 7096.

I swapped the failed pump with a known good power supply and it behaved the same.

Is the pump "fixable"?

Thanks in advance for your help!
Jim

Sorry I missed this, thanks to Shawnz for pointing it out to me.

Please look at the stickied thread on driver alarms, while your pump is newer and lacks an alarm or external driver, the key is that the drive unit is clean and not stuck together or missing any parts and the photos will help diagnose this. If that all checks out, the best option is an upgrade to 6105 and there is a discounted upgrade kit.

I am very sorry I missed this post.
