Hi there... They have changed to a darker red... When i bought them, they were orangish color... They are developing red fins too... The nearest ID i have was Cirrhilabrus rubripinnis as i got them in a philippines shipment...

our lfs is getting a bali fish shipment tomorrow. are there any good fairies that i should look for that might come in on a bali shipment?

Which LFS? Deepreefaquatics has the best looking fairies in our area :)

call ahead... they usually get one coral shipment per week and the fish shipments are hit or miss. when they do get fish in they get picked over VERY quickly, so i'd try to arrive the day of or after a shipment.

they have lots of softies and lps, some sps. the corals don't look great in their system primarily because they have their lighting a bit high off the water, but i've seen some of their pieces in friends tanks and they color up really nicely.

deltek...

i stopped into tmr after work and they got in some great fish. there are a few blue flasher fairies, several beautiful carpenter wrasses (one of which i am now the proud new owner ;) ), three exquisites, a scott's, and maybe a few others that i'm forgetting.

be prepared with prices - THEY WILL MATCH ONLINE PRICES - and the prices on the tanks are a bit on the high side. just ask if they'll price match and they will say yes. marinedepotlive has the carpenters for $22. they had them at $39.99. guess what i paid. :D

it is rather unfair to ask a LFS to match online... They have virtually no overhead like LFS and dont have to factor in shipping. The owner must like his customers.

All liveaquaria (just an example) does is walk down the street to the wholesalers pick the fish you want and ship them out.

anyway, does anyone have a good pic of the blue flashers??

sorry. i agree it is out of the ordinary for a lfs to match online pricing, but this owner has made it publicly known that he will indeed match. this is a relatively new lfs so i don't know how long this will last, but we might as well take advantage of the offer while it lasts. i know a few of the guys that work there so i told them i'd give them $30 for the carpenter because i want to see the succeed and don't want to completely screw them.

Hi Alexnlasf-

Glad to hear you have had good luck with yours! This is definitely reassuring. Mine seems to have made a miraculous recovery. After two days of hiding under rocks and laying on the bottom it took a turn for the better! It now eats like a pig. Eating mysis and formula one. Hopefully he will thrive.

Is that another name for the Paracheilinus lineopuntatus? I use to have one, very beautiful, not exactly common. Grew to about 4 inches and decided to go carpet surfing on me :(

AgentSPS,

Great to hear your is doing well. Mine sleep under the sand at night and is very active during the day. It might hide from time to time if it get startled. Mine also eating like a pig, mysis and formula one/two. Great fish once you get it eating. The color might fade a little bit without a female, but still beautiful.

Ok I need some help here, I have a painted fairy and a exquiste In QT right now. 37g QT, the painted fairy has started to chase the exquisite wrasse around. Will they be ok?

They will be going in 75g in a few weeks; also I wanted to add an Australian Scotts wrasse. Would he work in the 75g?

I'm setting up a 180g.

I haven't had much luck in my Cube mixing Wrasses, it hasn't mattered wether it's different sizes or color there's been problems, maybe it's because I didn't add them at the same time maybe it's because I don't have enough hiding places, I really have no ideia. I know that many have done this successfully like Bronco but he has a 180.
