If you unplug your EB8 from the base module, the Fallback statement tells each outlet whether to be ON or OFF. If ON, then it functions like a dumb power strip. If OFF then it's a brick. Beyond unplugging the EB8, the same would apply if the base module spazzed out for some reason, rebooted or just dies.
