My 180 gallon reef tank had a strain of ich that killed four fish in four days. So i got to the point that I yanked the survivors and put them all in to hospital and quarantine tanks, where I have been running very aggressive copper cycles on them for two months. I am getting ready to add fish back in to one of my tanks that I have had going fallow, but before I do so, I wanted to get some opinions on here. I took all of my fish out of my 180 on Nov 18, so it has been fallow since then. I plan on adding my Achilles, since he is so susceptible to ich back to the tank on the 27 of Jan. He will be my test.
Here is my question. From all the research that I have done, it says to go fallow six to eight weeks. I have surpassed that, just to be safe. Do you think that I am safe to go back in? I don't want to have to go through all of this again.
