false perc with maroon?

i have a damsel and occelaris clown in my 20 gallon. I have a BTA that the clown won't host (its tank raised a E. Quadricolor is not its natural anemone host) so i was wondering if I can add a small maroon clown(which probably will host a BTA)? Will it fight with the other clown?

yeah, thats what i thought... ahh i hate getting rid of fish though! I feel like I've given them a home and its just cruel to say "sorry, your off to somewhere else".
I had a blue damsel as my first fish, i had always planned to get rid of him, but i never did.
ill think about i though, because i really want the anemone to host something.

Take the Damsel out, add a Maroon that is smaller than the occ.
The maroon will most likely host, then the occ will want to as well.

If they fight take the maroon back, and your occ will be all hosted up. it's worth it
If your occ has gone more than a month without hosting, it may never host IMO

If all you're looking to do is get your ocellaris hosting, this is perhaps the best "trickery" method. However, there are no guarantees that your false perc will want anything to do with the anemone even after seeing the maroon in it, plus there's always the serious risk that, even with a smaller maroon, they could get violent and you'll end up with a dead fish or two.

I do think the Damsel could come out, though.

I would get rid of the damsel, and add a second false perc, or a smaller true perc. If you want a maroon I would remove your clown, and damsel then add a pair of maroons.

Also if you do add a second clown I would release it right in front of the anemone.

You can try what I just did today to get my perc in my rbta. I got a 2in pvc coupling put a piece of rock inside it to let the rbta attach to. Did this so I can cover it, had nothing big enough to cover the rock with the 2rbta. I grab a soup quart, drilled holes all over for flow. I covered it w/2 percs inside, let sit for an hour. Both was swimming all inside and was scared when they felt the rbta but eventually got use to it. Now the smaller one is laying in it, I hope the bigger will too, he's hanging beside the coupling.
