fan worms

I have a new fan worm. Should I attach him to a rock with a rubber band or something? I keep sticking him and holes in my rock and he keeps jumping or drifting out somehow. Should I just let him sit on the bottom?

Well I spoke to the guy at my lfs and he claimed that I can just drop them on the sand and they will sort themselves out.

i just placed them on the sand near a rock and they just sorted themselves out, so you don't have to go to any extreams to get them to attach

That's what I'd do. Start feeding; they seem to require a lot of food!

I wedged mine into a secure spot on some rock, that way he could grow onto the rock without being blown around in the meantime.

Any suggestions on what to feed?

DT's Phytoplankton works well for me.

I feed my tank DTs.

Just be sure not to put it to close to glass. Over the course of a year, mine found its way to the glass and attached itself somehow, so now I can't clean around it very well. See the lower right-hand corner:

It's kind of neat seeing the inside of the tube. It's been like that for well over six months now.
