Fans for Canopy??

I just bought a canopy for the 60 gallon I am building & I am planning on running 520 watts of PC's under the canopy. Does anybody know where I can buy 4" fans, so I can modify the canopy to keep the temp as low as possible. I imagine 520 watts is gonna create some heat, so I gotta do something. I saw one @ Tong's today, but $40 for a computer fan & a/c adapter seems a little outrageous to me.

Look for http://www.svc.com/120x25mmvans.html . It is pretty close to Ice cap in performance, a bit noisier, and the temp probe is not remote. Get two and a transformer for less than one IC. I have both. I have not run these long though. They cool the same as the IC did previously.

find an electronics store in your area. You can grab a comp fan & an AC/DC adapter for around $20. If you research the fan specs, you can run 2 (or 3, 4, 5... ) off of one adapter. Definately do some math if you choose the latter.

Just had my first "bad" experience w/ Ebay.........Item arrived very quickly, but an overflow unit made out of 1/16th acrylic......Come on!!!

They said I could return it & they'd refund my money, but it cost me $16 to "look" at this thing..............I think I'm gonna bite the bullet & buy a CPR overflow........

Here's hopin the fans come quick!!!!!

If you are in Placentia, you are near Orvac Electronics. They are on Orangethorpe and Acacia, I think. Here is their address: 1645 E. Orangethorpe Ave. Fullerton.
They have a whole row of different sized fans, just make sure you know exactly the specs you are looking for, they vary in price/noise level/and watts.

for $30.....also have a used I.C. for $15....or a used 4" computer fan

Check out OrVac electronics in Fullterton. They have a nice selection of Orion fans at around $15 each.

If I had waited another hour before buying the one's on Ebay, I would have gladly jumped all over them................but no, hopefully some other fortunate soul gets them!!!
