Fans for canopy??

Kinda piggy backing on the other thread. Anyone tried any other type of fan to cool off inside the canopy? I like the Ice Cap ones in the other canopy cooling thread. Anyone tried like the computer fans, or anything else? Anyone have any for sale?

Hey John, EagleOne is selling some fans right now here in the forum. you may want to check em out. I go ghetto and run one of those Walmart fans in my canopy. Does the job pretty well IMO. You cant conrtol the speed or anything like the Icecaps, but I do have them on some timers

PS HOW BOUT THEM LAKERS?!?!?!

Someone had a website. Hopefully they find your thread because I was looking for that same website, they had some nice quiet fans for cheap. Good size as well.... will tag along.

If you burn your house down, I didn't say any of this:

If cheap is the goal: I scavenge old computer fans, and wire them up to an old 12v transformer.

If kinda cheap and upgraded is the goal: Buy a variable voltage transformer from WMart and wire it up to a couple vantech stealth or silen-x case fans.

I put two of those Lasko quiet fans on top of the canopy and pointed them down the back of the canopy/tank. My setup is about 4" away from the wall and this vented pretty well. With my new T5, I cut holes in each side of the canopy to allow better ventilation. Less heat from the T5s let me take down the fans on top.
