i didnt mean anything bad its just there are alot of people that create a profile just to bash or degrade lfs's and being your first post back (welcome back :beer: ) it could be taken as such.. no harm ment..
 
its cool rr just remember this site as very helpful and also a lot of crap and gossip,as i read other post i see its still a lot of bs
 
First of all why would you wait six months to make a post, that is just weird to me but more so what I want to know is why there are not any other threads out there talking crap about the other shops?

It's not that big of a deal for me to start a thread on. But my experience seemed relevant to the topic of this thread so I thought I would add it here.

like i said i created a new profile bc i have deleted all of my past stuff bc of a divorce so sorry this was the first post i read

snow i was wondering the same thing, im just getting back into things and created a new rc profile. I was very shocked about thier place also seemed like they had a lot less stuff in the store and not as much corals as i remember. now this maybe bc ive been outta the hobby for a few years and stores have just down sized but i was amazed that their was a couch in the store where the awesome nano display tank used to be. customer service was dead on though they wouldnt leave me alone which is good.

thats strange cause a few years ago the center tank was all live rock and now it is half live rock and half anemones/elegance coral/fish and other diff things. and the lagoon style tank that used to have the mangrove in the center and fish is now all coral. and there is a sps shipment coming next week. and customer service was dead on, so all is good. :thumbsup:
 
First off, they're 20 and 30 :) pretty sure they have always been that way... sometimes 20 for any of them- I think they should do that again.

And did you let them finish telling you the prices before you asked prices on multiple items at the same time?

Maybe it was 20 and 30, I dunno. I never asked for multiple prices at the same time, and of course I let him finish speaking.
 
I can't believe that John would ALLOW ANY employee treat a customer in that tone.I can tell you first hand because I DID work for John for a while on Saturday's and he drives a tight ship.I have never seen nor treated any customer that way and can't believe that it happened.bottom line this whole thread is a joke,it's basically another waste of space on an otherwise good forum.if you dont like the way you were treated then shop elsewhere.no one has a gun to your head :uzi:

Are you talking about my experience? I never said anyone "allowed" it, but I assure you it did happen, and yes I do shop elsewhere.

We have had mixed experiences at FAOIS, the first time we went there we were snubbed a bit, and my questions did get a response that made me feel like I was bothering someone. 2nd time just looked around and didn't talk to anyone. The last 2 times everyone was extremely helpful and we got exactly what we needed. I would love to pick John's bran at some point to teach us even better husbandry.

I will continue to make the drive to FAOIS or one of the other good stores around, since the 2 near us SUUUUCCCCCKKKKK,
