Farewell, for now

About a year and half ago I started my first reef tank. Seeing everyone's incredible photos on here is what made me decide to get my first DSLR and try my hand at it...well...if it isn't obvious, I got hooked hardcore. I feel like I found my calling in life, not just photography, but filmmaking in general. It get's my blood pumping like nothing else in my life before it...

Fast forward a year and I'm now well on the path to making a career out of filmmaking (expect to see my time lapse work in several upcoming high profile documentaries)...but alas, I don't have time to pursue this stuff while still making time to take care of my reef, so I've been taking it down over the past month or so. Just my Mystery wrasse left to go and then I'm out. I'll be back when I have more time.

So, I just wanted to thank everyone here for being my inspiration.

Take care,
Ben

Congradualtions Ben. Hard work and dedication do pay off.

At least now that you are going to be making films and hopefully lots of $$, you can buy a much better tank than ever before.

Congradulations again and goodluck.

Thanks for your many contributions Ben. I think you have inspired many.
Best of luck with the filmmaking.

Don't just leave us hanging. Stop by and tell us when your works come out and what we can do to see them. I'll miss seeing your stuff here. It was always a treat to see. Good luck to you!!!!

Dude, your stuff is awesome and that is great news. I hope that even though your tank is down you will stop by and WOW us with some of your work. I think I can speak for most if not all of here in saying that we enjoy looking at your work even if it is not reef related!

Just because you're done with tanks doesnt mean you cant still post here!

I really like your time lapse videos, keep up the good work.

Thanks all for the kind words. My aquarium is now pumping vinegar. Sad to see it go but I'm glad I was able to sell off all of the livestock to good homes before it got to the point where things could go awry due to neglect.

I'll definitely continue to poke at these forums with examples of stuff I'm doing. Feel free to add me as a contact on vimeo if you are on their as well.

Ben
