Fast Growing SPS?

What are some of the fastest growing SPS corals available these days? I know slimers are pretty fast growers, and pink birdsnests can grow pretty fast as well.

Just curious. I'd like to get a few frags in order fill up my bare tank a little. By the way, pictures are always welcome, and appreciated.

Thank You,
Bassking

Naw just kidding um.. I would say tricolor valida, tenuis, sunset or superman, rainbow and pokerstar, and some red millie

+1 for the montipora digitata. I have a purple one that started as a 2" frag less than a year ago and it is growing out of control now.

montipora digitata is damn near a weed it grows so fast.
my red planet and rose millie are definitely above average growers in my tank.

Pocillopora, porites and psammocora are all extremely fast growers -- not the most popular corals but they grow like weeds.

Thank you

Thank you

Thank you all for the inputs. I am surprised to see Pocillopora make the list of fast growers. I always thought that they were pretty slow. I might just have to add one to my wish list.

Are Staghorn Acros pretty fast growers. I've seen some before and after tank shots here on the forums, and it seems like Stags go crazy in some tanks. Any Inputs?

Thanks Again,
Bassking

some staghorn acros grow pretty fast, my green/ blue tip seems to be bigger every time i look at it.

what part of tx are you in.i have some of almost all those listed i could frag.already have a mini colony of the ora green birdsnest i need to sell to make room on my frag rack

Most accros grow very fast if the conditions are spot on. Even my PM is a fast grower when the tank is right. If your friends dont say wow! Great growth after they have not seen the tank in a couple of weeks or so then the water quality is probably a little off. My point is that you should just pick some corals. Most of them grow pretty fast. If the tank isnt full in a year or so it wont be because you picked a lot of slow growing corals.

I would be careful with pocillopora. I have seen some beautiful colonies but it can spawn and start growing all over. That was one of my first corals and a very big mistake.

Thank you all again for the advice and suggestions. Just out of curiousity, how fast or slow do these so call deepwater Acros grow. I really like there smooth delicate look, but I don't know much about them. Does anyone have any experience with these Acros. Do they like high flow with lower light, or something different. Where is yours orientated in your tank in relation to flow and lighting.

I'm also interested in one or two encrusting Monti's. How are they to take care of, and how fast of a grower are they. I have a few caps right now, and they all seem to grow pretty fast, especially, my red cap. It's doubled in size in about 3 months. It started as a 3x2 inch frag, and is now at least 4x6 inches now.

Anyway, thanks again for all the advice.

I've seen Lokani and Caroliniana sold as "deep water" acros and both, IME, have pretty high lighting requirements -- certainly more than a lot of lower-light corals like acans and chalices.
