i remember watching the documentary "Fastest Claw in the West" on stomatopods a LONG time ago on TV, but i can't seem to find it anywhere online to buy, does anyone have this documentary and know where they got it?

Only thing is that it's a vhs tape in pal format. I really wanted to see it to.

google turned up all sorts of stuff for it, including amazon.

amazon.co.uk has it for about 5 bucks, on vhs.

its pal format...

i also see a copy on ebay. might be the same copy as amazon uk...

well, amazon.co.uk i assume is based in the United Kingdom right? (wow! how did i figure that one out??) but if i were to buy the tape from them, shipping would be a nightmare!

possibly look into the editing the film and burning DVDs Dr. Cadwell

Factor in size and the fact that stomatopods strike in water, and I would not bet on the ant.

Roy makes a good point! Water has more resistivity than air! If a mantis hits at 75x in water, I could probably say that it hits upwards of 375x or more out of water. Correct me if I am wrong!
