Fastest pair to spawn after a move

I moved a breeding pair of Ocellaris from a reef tank to my breeding system & they spawned the same day. Water conditions not even close.

I had this happen when I bought a pair of true percs. They ended up eating the eggs though

I'm using 6' clay pots & the eggs are looking good & should hatch in 2 days.

Not really a good batch. Anything under 100 is bad. With 8 fry tanks up most are running 300-600 fry per 10 gal tank.

My onyx pair and one of my maroons started spawning again this week (onyx today)! It took them a month to start up again after moving them from Orange County to Phoenix.

That's awesome they kept the eggs after a move! Sounds like you have a couple hard workers there Bob

That is good. I have a breeding pair of gold strip maroons I purchased over a year ago & they never spawned & my only onyx is spawning with a Picasso & they all look like onyx & they are hard to sell. I have other onyx paired with same & 2 other pairs with black & white.

Yea I'm in the same boat with my gold stripe pair. They were spawning for the last owner but I have had them since last July and nothing yet. The pair that is spawning is a huge white stripe female with a gold stripe male. This will be my first time raising maroons, didn't have the room at my old place so I just let them go up until now.
