A buddy couldn't take care of them for a year. The tissue has receded significantly to 25% of the original.

My water is in good shape, but given the large empty skeleton, how do I help them to recover?

Second one looks to be a scoly. However, low light and flow, keep params stable and hope for nature to take over. GL

I soaked some Spectrum 1mm marine pellet in selcon and Brightwell restor and decided to try that. Strong feeding response from the scoly but nothing on the favia

My trumpet liked it too

My favia eat mysis so size shouldn't be an issue, try waiting until about an hour after lights out, see if it's feeding tentacles are out, if they are then feed him at that time.

Maybe use a band saw to cut some of the dead skeleton back? I think it might be too thick. I just stick mysis in each head of my favia, acans, Duncan and trumpet when their tentacles are out. The trick then for me is to guard it from wrasses while it closes over the morsal.

it wont hurt the scoly to frag the skeleton off and it wont hurt the scoly to keep it on either. It is more or less a reasoning of preferences if you are ok with the skeleton untill it gets better, or if it is an eye sore and risk putting it under stress to remove it.
