favia growth question

does favia grow better/faster on sand, or rock?
what are your experiences?

Mine is on rock and it grows fairly well !

Keep them on rocks and they will spread.not so much on sand.

All my favia are on rocks and they grow slowly but surely. I target feed mysis/Cyclopeeze 2-3 x per week (and a weekly squirt of ZoPlan or Coral Frenzy when I target feed my zoos). They are all ~12" below 156 Watts of T5HO (2x39W Actinic and 2x39W 10K).

Just moved my large platygyra onto a flat rock, and my smaller favias are on plugs stuck into holes in rockwork, and they grow nicely off the plug onto the rock, so I'm asumimg on sand, they won't spread out as fast and start to 'dome' upwards in growth.
