Favia question

I have a Favia frag that isn't looking so hot. It's bleaching on the corners. Do these guys like a lot of light or not so much. What about flow? I have the frag on my sand bed at the moment. It's a 90 gallon with 2 150 mh and 4 t5ho.

They don't really need a ton of light. Medium flow as well. What lighting situation did it come from? It's possible that it's just sunburned and is adjusting to your new lighting. I have a piece in my tank as well that has just refused to thrive despite my best efforts, so I feel your pain. I never even see mine deploy tentacles at night.

Is it under direct light?
Are you target feeding the frag?
how long have you had it in your tank?
Have you moved it recently?
Are there other aggressive adjacent corals within reach?
What are all of your current test numbers?

The frag came from a tank that was under led's. I have not target fed that frag yet. it's been in my tank for 4 days with no change. The frag looked great at the LFS but as soon as i put it in it started having problems. What are cosidered aggressive corals? Here are my numbers:

Salinity 1.025
PH 8.3
Phospates 0
Nitrate 20
ammonia 0
Nitrite 0
Calcium 450
Alk 220

My math shows your Alk converted to 12.3 Dkh. That is a bit high and MIGHT be a contributing factor. It isn't a terrible number though. Your 'trates concern me a bit. Where in the tank was it located under the LEDs and where is it in yours? Other aggressive corals may include torch corals and the like or even ricordea. This list is long and I wouldn't claim to know them all. Let us know and take some pics please.

Here's a pic,The actinics were on so it's not that great of a pic. There is also a ricordea that's also bleaching. The ricordea came from old tank and has never bounced back.
