Favia Show Off Thread

this is a purple people eater favia (or at least that's how it was sold to me) that I've had for a while. I've had a bit of a hiatus during a move (my tank has been at different friends houses for over 6 months), so it has done surprisingly well. I snapped this picture last week.

Here it was when I got it, just over a year ago. It's about 6-7 times as large now.

I just got 6 sweet favia frags from droblack. I'll post some pics when they color up. They had a rough trip up here.

Mia's Fruit Loops, Sponge Bob, Bumble Bee, Funkadelic Honeycomb, Jendub's Big Mouth War Coral, and Mumbo Jumbo favia.

I also have a nice favia pack coming from bigian.

Darth Reefer: Yowza! Nice frags guy. Color me jealous... LOL
Kev: I picked up a new Favia & a Favites/Goniastrea today. Plus an encrusting Montipora(?) as well. Well, repopulating the tank is slow & expensive as expected. but also fun! But that is going to have to be all until next pay check.
Also, that surviving fragment continues to hold on.

Matthew
PS. The Favia is mint/bluegreen. I'll try to get a pic later.

You should turn that Funkadelic Honeycomb around so you can see the face, LOL! What kind of lights are you running? To get the streaks in the Bumble Bee I keep it high under T5s (12-14 inches?)

400w 20k Reeflux dimmed to 300w. It's getting 320 PAR where it's at.

Funny, my wife said the same thing about the Honeycomb. :D

Sheol,
They are sweet, you should get some. ;)

ritter: If I had seen that, it would already be in my tank! Very nice, always like the high contrast ones.

Matthew
Darth, I'm working on it!

I'm referring to the green corallites that are not being shared. I may be wrong of course, which is why I said "looks like an acan". Covering my bases. :D

How do you like your new home?
