Favia Show Off Thread

Thanks! Yeah I've already rearranged that corner of the tank. I didn't want it going after my palys or zoas.

NuGz: You have an addiction? LOL

Matthew

You know it! Here are a few more pics.

Got this one in the trade last week...BYF! Favia.

Here's another small frag from the trade. I think this one has a ton of potential.

I can never get enough of my Prism's.

Thanks for looking!

Your welcome, & stop it already NuGz. No wonder I never see any nice Favia down here anymore, your snapping 'em all up!! LOL

Matthew

I know I posted this pic somewhere but I don't think it was in this thread. Here's my new favites. This was the first night added to the tank and the pic was taken with flash...as you can see by the look on my lawnmower blenny's face in the background.

Looks great everyone! Keep 'em coming!

Here's one I just picked up tonight. He called it the "Lady Gaga" Favia. I saw the same frag in person several months ago, and it was even brighter. So, I know this one has even more potential.

The other one is just an unhappy Christmas Favia. It was brighter before I moved it in a recent tank rearrangement.

These are my new grapevine favias from Vivid. At night the feeding tenticals are about 8 inches long. Wont be able to have anything close to it.

Lady Gaga Favia? Ok, these names are getting silly now. Which one is that anyway?

The blue and red one. http://www.greateriowareefsociety.org/Community/DiscussionForums/tabid/78/aft/19065/Default.aspx

I got it from midwest frags. I know the owner personally, so I get to go shopping in his basement. The owner, Marvin, is a great guy with unbelievably good prices. I'll just say that I didn't even pay $40 for my piece. Anyways, he does like to call his corals by name. However, if you saw this mans collection, you probably would too. "That really cool purple and green one right there" starts to describe everything when you're surrounded by thousands of gallons of fully stocked tanks.

Yeah, connections are always good to have! LOL

Matthew
And your right on the nicknames, I wish I had that problem!

Oh for sure. I guess I should have reworded it, as I was actually trying to say that even though Marvin names his corals, he doesn't inflate the price. But yes, connections are good to have.

Marvin will actually invite anybody into his home where he will charge "in home" prices. He has a website too, but I have no need for that as he lives 10 minutes away. Just coincidence.
