Nice PPE favia, I'll have to try and get a shot of mine, really cool coral. Got a tiny frag as a freebie on a large order and it has grown to about the size of yours in a few months. Ian, are you referring to the DITR Hell's Kitchen Chalice "thing"?

Im not too sure where it originated. I think theres only one though so chances are... how bout we get Joe to chime in?

Vetdog: Look at the purple on that one! Wow, really seeing lots of good purple & blues lately. Keep it up!

But not quite as controversial as Falice.

SDguy's HK actually looks like a chalice but also a bit acan rotunda-ish too, more so than faviid to me. Peter, not suggesting that you should've posted in the Rotundaflora Show Off Thread :lolspin:, if one even exists (Oh no, here it comes!). Whatever it is I love it and am respectfully jealous!

I have echinos, doesn't look like them. I have a rotundo...doesn't look at all like it.

But anywho, this is the Favia Showoff thread, not the Help SDguy ID his wierd coral thread, so I'll let it go :)

It may not look like your other echinos as there's 8 different specie of Echinophyllia. And probably about 75% of Echinophyllia that do come in are E. aspera which SDGuys' piece looks like an E. aspera, or E. echinoporoides which has my bet.

-very beautiful favia reefer 334:) ,
wish mine was that beuatiful , mine`s starting to bleach in the centre only.
under actinic`s they glow the same , but with normal lighting on it`s more white in the centre.

i already replace it on the sand bottom , where there is less current.
no3 and po4 are always zero .
kh is about 8
