Kenny, that is crazy growth on that one piece, do you feed the frag tank a lot? I'm trying to figure out the crazy growth rates you get

It's all one system so everything gets fed the same amount. Some just grow faster than others, that's all.

Kenny, nice favia colorups! Amazing. Quick question, how did you clear up Ian's pics so nicely in PS? Did you up the exposure on the 1st one?

Rob, I actually use PS Elements, not the full version of PS. The only thing I do for my photos is to use the "Enhance" function. It automatically takes out the haziness, sharpens the photos, and takes out most of the unnatural blue hue. Most of the time, that alone will make them look very much real life. Sometimes, I'll have to remove additional blues from some photos. I actually like to "reverse photoshop" my pix so that they look less spectacular than what they look like in person. Of course, Ian's photos had other enhancements done to them to make them look more outragous :D

Thanks Kenny, really like how you cleared up the first one. Your pics are consistently beautiful and believable, well often unbelievable but look like true representations of the actual corals.

I seem to have a LOT of pink Favias :o

I'm getting a good case of the green-eyed monster at the minute. More Baby's breath around but never near me. Oh well, one day the circumstances will be right.
BTW, a new tank is about to begin. Not large, but another tank of any size means more room for more Favia! LOL

Matthew
Its really a BLUE Baby's breath? Stunning! Congrats man!

Pookstreet:

"Strawberry fields Forever.." OOPs, sorry. For some reason that song was going on in my head! We wouldn't know what could cause that, would we? LOL
Very cool pic..
Why would you guys alter any of those Masterpieces is quite beyond me. BTW, they all look unbelievable, but seeing many Favia I know they exist.

Wow, that's a stunning piece. Would love to see that in person.

Here's a pic Chris Thomas (143Gadgets) took of it in Nov 2007

So i told my gf this month that i wouldnt purchase anymore corals...but when i say this thing i didnt hesitate. The piece from what I saw was very limited and by far one of the nicest things I have ever seen favia wise in awhile. I think it ranks up there with the baby's breath, spongebob, and even phil's lil princess. Let me introduce you to my new favorite piece in my tank:

Jendubs Pot of Gold

My fragment is small but .....its so beautiful....

Dang I am happy all over

Drat! I thought maybe you got the whole colony. Man. I'd think I'd kill for that piece of that thing. I vote that most Beautiful Favia Yet to Appear on This Thread. Anyone else care to cast a vote?
Just incredible.
Pot of Gold for the frakin' cost likely why its named that. Though I would spend considerable gold pieces on it.
The Holy Grail of Favia now. Finally, the Babies Breath is surppased..
Leishman: That is SWEEET, even after that one I'm raving about.
Nice ones, Kenny.

Matthew
Where'd my jaw go, it fell off!

Jendub's Pot of Gold makes me feel greedy! Just got off the phone with Charles and extremely happy to know that I have a frag of this one coming. I have found my new fav favia! Pink, green, and gold!? :D Has anyone found anything similar to this one? Any pics of the Psycho Baby's Breath out there? I should have one up soon.

Psycho's Baby Breath? Nah, it couldn't top that Pot of Gold.
Anway, I need to find some info on that Favia. Can anyone tell if we drool on the keyboard on here? LOL

Matthew

I have a couple new ones cooking.....its a trick to figure out what will color up some of them as its not always the obvious clean water and bright lights.

Here are a couple of mine that are already there (I think).

Not the best pics I admit.

This last one was really stressed when I got it but is settling in nicely a few months later.

mine does not compare to most of yours but here it is anyway.

I like this one a lot btw....it looks to have a ton of potential if you can get a little more contrast between the green and the orange.
