I have a prism / dragon soul favia that keeps getting these odd spots. They kind of remind me of a pimple almost. They form a head then burst, sometimes leaving stringy goo coming out of them. When it first started happening, they went away, and the favia pretty much recovered. Now they are all over it again. I am not sure what they are or how to stop them from forming or happening.

They look anything like the one below before they ruptured?
The ones on mine (only one in this pic...) never burst but would pop up like that for several days then go away. Mine seem to have stopped when I put the piece under lower intensity light which makes me wonder if at least in my case they might have been oxygen bubbles from over stimulated zoxanthella.

Yes, they looked just like those, eventually they would turn the light green color.
Looks very similar to the pictures of "dipping". My only concern like those in the pictures, is that usually after they burst or "drip" usually there is exposed skelton where they were. Eventually new tissue covers the spots, but I am just worried about any infection.
