Favite ID?

I bought the damaged coral, that I assumed is Favite. Placed it in the well-lighted place with a lot of mysis particles floating around during feeding time. No changes in 3 months. If it's dead - the green centres should disappear, right? If alive - what care it's require?
Thanks.

The size of the "cells" is mainly between 1/4" and 3/8", the center - as poppy seed.

It's definitely alive...that looks perfectly healthy to me.

As for what it is, it doesn't look like a Faviid.

As to what is could be, here are a couple of guesses:

Coscinaraea columna
Psammocora haimeana
Gardineroseris planulata - though it doesn't have the tentacles in that formation - the structure is there.

It does also remind me of Agaricia, though the valid Indo-Pacific species information is not available.

Awesome piece whatever it is.

Thanks you! Will check all of this.
Any advice on care? Light, flow, food, anything else that I should know?
Now it is in the same conditions, as the babies Tradacna maxima and Christmas tree worms are.

Medium light should be fine, and medium-low flow. Feeding should not need to be direct, though I'm sure it will catch mysis/cyclopeeze. It's really a simple coral to care for, especially if you're caring for clams.

One more question - on mounting. All this time it was on the tank's bottom, kicked by fish and snails, by siphon, when cleaning:

I have impression, that it was attached at the side:

It's a relatively thin leaf, not boulder:

Here is comparative size to red montipora frag and the blastomussa merletti frag. It's small (all together are in the soap holder):

Should I epoxy it at the side or CA glue at the middle? Any other ways?

Very cool coral :)
I pretty much just wait to see where in my tank the coral is most responsive in terms of light and flow and then one Im able to gauge that I try to mount accordingly. Since you say youve kept it with relatively bright light for three months with no differences you may want to see what it does with a lil less light, or more or less flow than it's receiving now. Seeing how it reacts will make you more confident as to where to mount it in your system, just my 2 pennies.
