I recently upgraded to a new 250W MH (from 130W PC). I moved my pineapple brain (favite) from the top of the tank to the bottom because it was showing signs of bleaching after the light change. Since the move/light change it has stopped eating. I have kept the same feeding regimen (1-3x a week) with the same food, but all the food sits on top of the coral for about 15 min and then balls up with a bunch of mucas stings. Once I turn the filtration back on all the food floats away in a big goopy mass.
Is there any explanation for this? It is still growing and showing good coloration, just not eating. It hasn't eaten anything for about 3 months now but growth continues at the same speed. Also it used to put out gigantic stinger/sweeper tentacles at night and these have stopped coming out. I'm not really too concerned as long as growth continues but it is odd.
