I got a Favite frag about a week ago. Each night, for the first 6 days, it's tenticles have been out and it has been feeding. Last night, nothing came out. Is this something to worry about? All my other corals are great and my params are unchanged (ph 8.2-8.3, CA 400, Alk 10.5, Magnesium 1100, no nitrates, phoshates, ammonia or nitrites). I am slowly increasing the magnesium and CA. I had the favite in an area of strong flow-moved him to a more moderate flow this morning. The flow is random,not linear. He is at the bottom of a 90 with 250 watt MHs. I haven't seen any critters bothering it. It is a frag mounted on a disc. I can look under the coral in one spot, meaning the coral is not sealed to the disc in one small spot. I don't know if it was like this when I got it or if it has changed. I've never had a favite before and didn't know if they ever took a break with the tenticles or if something was wrong. Anyone know?
