is it normal for the feeder tentacles to come out during the day cycle as well?

is this a symptom of anything the coral needs?

I'm not sure if it's normal or not, (mine never did this) but if the coral looks ok, I wouldn't sweat it.
Have you tried feeding it something?

I feed during the day and i'll see them out every now and then, usually when i turn off the pumps as they know they will be getting food.

Haven't fed it yet, only had it less than a week, fish store said they hadn't been feeding it. Should have asked that question as well before. Whats the best food for them, or is there a particular type most people use?

I like to feed my LPS corals NLS pellets and live black worms. Occasionally they'll catch a few flakes as well. Mysis shrimp is also very popular.

I think NLS might be the name of the brand but its coral food in pellet form, i feed my coral with brine, mysis, and coral frenzy.

My Raptor's Peace Favia has it's feeder tentacles out most of the time during the day. I feed it every time I see those out. Not sure if you can overfeed a coral. LOL! . I figured if it doesn't want to eat then it'll simply refuse to do so. I feed whatever frozen food I'm feeding the fishes.
