I think if you have an Apex, no reason to not have it as the ATO controller with a few good quality switches. Advantage of the Apex, IMO, is that you can easily program multiple redundancies; which is ultimately the best way to avoid a failure. For example, I use three switches (one pressure and two float) to trigger my primary ATO pump, and have a second pump triggered form a further two floats should the first pump fail for any reason. May seem like overkill, but I have many thousands of $$ tied up in my livestock so a $100 or so for peace of mind is 'priceless' :lol:
