ok some im lookin for some new corals and was wondering what everyone likes the best so lets see some pics of your favs

hey, nice tank

Well my favorite stuff is the wavy corals. Stuff like xenia, hammers, stuff like that.

My corals right now are:

Tons of xenia
GSP's
green button polyps
moon polyps
gold crested polyps (they glow like crazy under actinics)
red mushroom
"watermellon" mushroom

And just a couple nights ago i got some kenya tree that i like a lot, and i also got some zoos, which i dont know what kinds they are tho lol...the guy just gave em to me.

zoos...dont know what kind they are tho, and i got one more thats basically the same except w/green centers, but the pic sucks lol.

Heres the kenya tree i just added a couple days ago. And to the left of it, you can kinda see my moon polyps, but they too look a lot cooler under just actinics.

I love these little zoas. They're fairly slow-growing, and started as a single hitchhiking polyp; every time a new one pops up I get excited, I can't wait to see the 8" rock they're on just covered. Many of my corals are pink (what can I say, it's a girlie reef ), but these guys are my favourite

i like gorgonians. i had one unknowingly for a short period of time. came on a piece of LR. i noticed one day that it had some algae growing on the very tip top so i decided to siphon it off. well i siphond the tissue right off of the small branch and that was that. it was only later that i leaned what it was...

the sun corals can be tricky i hear. They dont open much for some people (some people they do tho ) But i've heard they're tricky feeders...you've gotta spot feed them.

ic the sun coral i have seen at my lfs has been there for 3 months and i have never seen it open i guess its all in what they need and like as with every thing in this hobby

Sun coral usually opens at night when the lights go off.
Dendrophylia looks like it but usually opens in the day I'm told.

My favorite corals are the ones I dont have yet lol.

I have so many but cant really pick a fav. I liked them all when I got them.

I'm not a big/large coral person. I like to have smaller frags of alot of corals for some cool colors in my tank. I always want one of everything lol.

As was mentioned above, sun corals are nocturnal. However, they can be "trained" to come out during the day by playing with their feeding times. I believe Melev talks about this somewhere in his 800 page thread.

That pic of the sun coral is just gorgeous!! My fav. are bubble corals! They are just so cool looking...my next would have to be my pink (thick branched) birdsnest.
