Favorite crab

What's everyone's favorite crab? I have an emerald now I'm about sick of because its starting to knock some frags off of the crazy glue to the plugs. It does a well job of scraping the rocks clean though. Any one have any other crabs besides the emerald that they like? I have a few blue legged but they are so small and don't do nearly as much work.

I have 5 emeralds and an arrow crap. I guess it depends on what you're looking for, but I'm assuming algea control since that's what emeralds and blue legs are best at. I have hundreds of very very small snails that come out at night that are great for helping out with my algea too...but I've never had the problem you describe with your emerald....

I really like my stomella snail for algae cleanup they seem to do the best job by and far. And for actual crabs my single mexican red leg never seems to stop, he is kinda a bruiser but he is very active and gets the job done.

my emerald will pick up my frags and move them, knock them off the rocks. i even had him take a piece of zoa and tear the 10+ heads off the rock it was super glued to. but i just repair his mess ups becouse he great on bubble algea and he cool to watch. if you want clean sand look into a dimond goby mine goes to town every single day on my sand. i dont have a brown patch on it.

WOW - what a great pic Jesse. I had a emerald that is now in my sump- he was voracious- but started to pic and eat my SPS- so out he goes. HE was great until recently- he grew very quickly- double his size in only a month- purchased with another emerald recently - the other one has stayed smaller and is only eating algae. Make you wonder about subspecies, etc.

acer - thats why i was asking. he was fine until he about doubled his size. I have a small tank and now he is just bruising through the small live rock
